2024 GMC Acadia Overview
The 2024 GMC Acadia is receiving a total redesign and will kick off the third Acadia generation when it arrives early in 2024. For the initial release, there will be four trim levels available. The Elevation is the well-equipped base trim. The Premium adds many of its options. The AT4 is similar to the Premium but with off-road technologies, and the Denali delivers refined luxury through a number of exclusive features, including a premium Bose audio system.

Making the 2024 GMC Acadia as roomy as it is required making the vehicle bigger. It’s still a midsize SUV, but it’s now at the upper end of that size range. The wheelbase has been increased by 10.6 inches. The overall length has been increased by about a foot, and the Acadia is now a hair more than 17 feet. Ground clearance has been increased slightly as well, and the height of the vehicle has been raised by a bit more than 3 inches in order to increase headroom in the cabin.

The 2024 GMC Acadia in Mount Vernon features a redesigned cabin, and there are a number of fundamental differences. The previous-generation model came standard with six-passenger seating in a 2-2-2 arrangement and gave you the option of a second-row bench for an extra seat. The new model will come standard with seven-passenger seating in a 2-2-3 arrangement and offer the extra seat as well. GMC increased the headroom and legroom in all three rows. The rear seat now accommodates three adults comfortably, and the dedicated cargo space is almost double than the previous model.

Proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition and remote engine start are all standard equipment with the 2024 GMC Acadia in Mount Vernon through Chevrolet GMC of Mount Vernon. The AT is an off-road model and the most mechanically diverse. It has an off-road-tuned suspension with a 1-inch lift and hydraulic rebound control. It also comes standard with all-wheel drive and features a more advanced AWD system with twin-clutch rear differentials.

The standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine and optional V6 engine that had powered the Acadia in its previous generation have been retired. All models will now be powered by a different turbo four that is more powerful than the V6 was and is more fuel efficient that either of the previous options. Max towing capacity is 5,000 pounds, and the trailer-tow package will be available with all trim levels.

A larger and more customizable infotainment touch screen and a customizable and fully digital instrument panel are now standard with the new Acadia.
